Post Voldemort's Most Humiliating Deaths
Recently, one of my favorite H/L fics, Luna's Hubby by Meteoricshipyards, came to an end...

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2919503/1/Lunas_Hubby

Some commented that the way the Dark Lord was dispatched wasn't exactly... befitting the deadliest threat the wizarding world has ever known, but this happens to poor Tom a lot. :)

So, I've started this thread for Voldemort's most humiliating deaths. For some reason, they often tend to involve Luna in some way. :)

Another H/L fic where Tom's end isn't very dignified is Absinthe Makes the Heart Grow Fonder by Rorschach's Blot...

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3621894/1/

But, humiliating deaths of Voldemort aren't limited to H/L. Hr/L can do it, too, in multiple chapters, yet. The Smartest Witch of Her Generation by Angelholme...

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3546396/1/T ... Generation

The true classic Luna-centric humiliating end of the Dark Lord is Cabin Fever by Araminta Melliflua, in which Voldemort's threat is ended by... Well, you'll see...

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1853677/1/C ... _Snorkacks

Well, Tom just needs to escape unusual blonde girls with strange eyes, right? Maybe a crossover... Oops, they're there, too. And, in one of those, Luna's counterpart happens to be a demon powered supernatural predator and perfect killing machine. And, just the Dark Lord's luck, a writer decides to have fun with her moods. Anger Control Issues by Elysian...

But hey, let's get the Dark Lord away from crazy blonde girls... Yes, here's one crossing over with the same Fandom, but no blondes in sight. Just one of the Old Ones... At the Hand of the Other by serpentlady...

Perceval, you have already cited the Aurors= Keystone Kops analogies. Voldemort is someone the Keystone Kops can beat.

And here's an older one from Rorschach's Blot, as we answer the question, what is The Power He Knows Not?

And here's one from mione the kneazle, in which the Dark Lord suffers yet another ignominious death titled... An Ignominious Death. This one, again, involves Luna, though I don't think she could be that cruel...

I do like Luna's Hubby, I am on Cahpter 15. Bella's adventure.
DD's cunning plans being exploded one by one is hilarious.

Michelle's Happy Christmas, Harry Potter is the best evah Mummy Lovegood death scene. Luna's Hubby is the Second best evah!

All of DD's cunnig plans xplode. LoL :) :)

There's enough "DD's cunning plans explode" fics to start another thread. Maybe I'll start a "best of" thread for those. :)

The funniest thing is that most of those started before DH was published. I thought, at the time, that the writers were being too hard on Dumbledore, but it turns they were just writing him completely in character.

Damned near everyone said the story I did on Schnoogle, "Of Girls and Goddesses" was stupid, because of the way Voldemort messed up when he took Luna and Harry prisoner at the end, but that was my point. He WAS stupid most of the time. Instead of giving Harry his wand back in that graveyard, he could have kept him tied to that stone and had all fifteen Death eaters AK him at once. A stupid person can easily find himself a stupid way to die.

Oh, I thought Tom was very in character, there. As I once had Andromeda observe, he's so arrogant, bullying, and reckless that, if he'd not been Salazar's descendant, he'd have been sorted into Gryffindor. :)

That's one good thing about the films. They can at least make Death Eaters LOOK scary. They weren't that scary in the books. They kept getting beat out by their arrogance, by sheer bad luck, and young children, after all.

They reminded me of villains from Scooby Doo.

I think fanfics make them scarier. If anyone's in need of good creepy DE fics, there's a fest going on right now for hpdesmutathon. Can't link to it here though. XD
