250k word epic focusing on Neville and the second Trio's adventures at Hogwarts. Begining: much better than the original: so many tear-jerking scenes. Middle: sags just like the original. So many deaths showing the Pain of War. Compassion fatigue. Finale: much better than the original. Neville also gets a ghostly cheerleading squad, but in this fic, Neville's sacrifice means something. DD's evil Plan is acknowledged as evil. Original: people really die off-screen and the focus is on Harry's fake death. Fic: people die on screen, which hints at the cheapness of Harry's "sacfrifice". |
