My favorite H/L moment in OotP was the bulletin scene. Luna's belongings were stolen, and it was the final night before she went back home, yet she takes the time to help and comfort Harry. Just talking to her made Harry feel so much better. I love their chemistry. :)

My favorite scene in the movie was their little chat in the forest. They bonded in that scene, and Luna is so wise and comforting to Harry. She's adorable. :)

I echo Mai's sentiments: the BB scene was beautiful, as was the Forest scene in the movie -- kudos to WB for giving us those wonderful bonding moments :)

From the book: "I believe you" followed by Hermione's "You can do better than her," which is a line I associate with disapproving of a girlfriend. My very favorite isn't directly H/L. When Harry is getting ready to go to the DoM, he wonders how he could have ever found the thestrals ugly. That line really jumped out at me on a re-read. Luna's not exactly described in flattering terms when she's introduced, and she's strongly associated with thestrals. I wondered if it was a subtle way of telling us Harry has changed his mind about Luna's appearance too.

From the film: Hand holding. Need I say more?

The book - bulletin board scene, hands down. Harry's finally able to look outside his moodiness and feel for someone else's plight, and actually offer to help them. And it's always struck me how Luna was able to make Harry feel better even when Ron and Hermione couldn't, without even trying - just by being herself.

I like their other moments too, because Harry seems to notice so much about her, from her eyes to the little smudge of dirt on her face. After the OotP film, I now find it more interesting how even when he's about to kiss his dream girl, Harry can't help but think about Luna. :D

The film - the forest scene and the hand-hold scene are about tied. I love the way she watches him throughout their conversation about thestrals, and the look they give one another at the end of the scene? <3 I also like how they show that it's after talking to Luna that he feels able to talk to Ron and Hermione again. The hand-hold scene: they're holding hands. 'Nuff said. ;)

Well, While I love the Bulletin Board Scene of Song and Legend, I think the quidditch match with Luna's hat is my favorite, because Harry feels it and feel heartened, like things will get better. I think it should early on what part Luna would play in Harry's life: lifting him up, keeping him going, giving him hope.

The film, well, the Hand Holding Scene of Song and Legend is wonderful, but for me, it was a smaller moment. Remember how Harry was telling everyone to have a nice/good Christmas? He told Luna specifically, 'Have a GREAT Christmas, Luna.' Can I get a squee please?

Oh, I just thought of another one -- when Luna comes to join Harry at the Gryffindor table after he received The Quibbler -- I just loved that!

Of course, given that the magazine played no role in the movie we didn't get to see that scene, but who knows, maybe the WB folks will work something similar into HBP :)

The bulletin board was definitely up there, but for me that was just confirmation of H/L. I liked the mistletoe scene, and perhaps more importantly, the fact that Harry thought of her when he was with Cho. (And I still don't get it: what kind of boy does that? What kind of author writes that in there without it meaning anything more?)

I know that RIPpers were crowing because he jumped out, but that was Harry reacting to his initial idea of Luna. And I thought (and now know) that that changes. (After all, his initial idea of Ginny was a shy little fangirl, and I doubt he thinks that of her by the time DH comes around.)

For the movie, all H/L moments, but definitely the handholding. I watched that movie looking for H/G (it ruined my enjoyment of the film, dangit), but they held hands... :D:D:D
